[Chorus: x2]

Take me down
To the paradise city
Where the grass is green
And the girls are pretty
Take me home

Just a‘ urchin
livin‘ under the street
I’m a hard case
that’s tough to beat
I’m your charity case
So buy me somethin‘ to eat
I’ll pay you at another time
Take it to the end of the line

Ragz to richez or so they say
Ya gotta-keep pushin‘
for the fortune and fame
It’s all a gamble
When it’s just a game
Ya treat it like a capital crime
Everybody’s doin‘ their time

[Chorus:]

Strapped in the chair
of the city’s gas chamber
Why I’m here I can’t quite remember
The surgeon general says
it’s hazardous to breathe
I’d have another cigarette
but I can’t see
Tell me who you’re gonna believe

[Chorus]

So far away
So far away
So far away
So far away

Captain America’s been torn apart
Now he’s a court jester
with a broken heart
He said-
Turn me around and
take me back to the start
I must be losin‘ my mind-
„Are you blind?“
I’ve seen it all a million times

David Guetta Feat Sia – Titanium

David Guetta Feat Sia – Titanium
You shout it loud
but I can´t hear a word you say
I´m talking loud not, saying much.

I´m criticized but all your bullets ricochet
you shoot me down, but i get up.

I´m bulletproof, nothing to lose
fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
fire away, fire away

(2x) You shoot me down, but I won´t fall
I am titanium!

Cut me down, but it´s you who have further to fall
Ghost town, haunted love.

Raise your voice, sticks and stones may break my bones.
I´m talking loud not saying much.

I´m bulletproof, nothing to lose
fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
fire away, fire away

(2x) You shoot me down, but I won´t fall
I am titanium!

I am titanium!

I am titanium!
Stone-hard, machine gun firing at the ones who run
stone-hard, thus bulletproof.

(4x) You shoot me down, but I won´t fall
I am titanium!

I am titanium!

Was so läuft

Gotye- Somebody That I Used To Know (feat. Kimbra)

Now and then I think of when we were together
Like when you said you felt so happy you could die
Told myself that you were right for me
But felt so lonely in your company
But that was love and it’s an ache I still remember

You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness
Like resignation to the end
Always the end
So when we found that we could not make sense
Well you said that we would still be friends
But I’ll admit that I was glad that it was over

But you didn’t have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened
And that we were nothing
And I don’t even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger
And that feels so rough
You didn’t have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records
And then change your number
I guess that I don’t need that though
Now you’re just somebody that I used to know

Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over
But had me believing it was always something that I’d done
And I don’t wanna live that way
Reading into every word you say
You said that you could let it go
And I wouldn’t catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know…

But you didn’t have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened
And that we were nothing
And I don’t even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger
And that feels so rough
You didn’t have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records
And then change your number
I guess that I don’t need that though
Now you’re just somebody that I used to know

I used to know
That I used to know

Somebody…

Creep
When you were here before
Couldn’t look you in the eye
You’re just like an angel
Your skin makes me cry
You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
I wish I was special
You’re so fuckin special

But, I’m a creep I
‚m a weirdo
What the hell am I’m doing here?
I don’t belong here

I don’t care if it hurts
I wanna have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice
When I’m not around
You’re so fuckin special
I wish I was special

But I’m a creep
I’m a weirdo
What the hell am I doin here?
I don’t belong here
Oh, oh

She’s running out again
She’s running out
She run, run, run, run
Run

Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You’re so fuckin special
I wish I was special

But I’m a creep
I’m a weirdo
What the hell am I doin here?
I don’t belong here
I don’t belong here

Karma Police
Karma police, arrest this man
He talks in maths
He buzzes like a fridge
He’s like a detuned radio

Karma police, arrest this girl
Her Hitler hairdo is
Making me feel ill
And we have crashed her party

This is what you get
This is what you get
This is what you get when you mess with us

Karma Police
I’ve given all I can
It’s not enough
I’ve given all I can
But we’re still on the payroll

This is what you get
This is what you get
This is what you get when you mess with us

And for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
And for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself

For for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
For for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
Phew, for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself

Heute ist das neue Album von „Noah and the Whale“ mit dem Titel „Last Night On Earth“ erschienen. Einen Song den ich schon eine Weile im Radio höre und der mir auch ganz gut gefällt ist „L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.“. Sehr melodisch…

„L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.“

Lisa likes brandy and the way it hits her lips
She’s a rock ’n‘ roll survivor with pendulum hips
She’s got deep brown eyes
That’ve seen it all

Working at a nightclub that was called The Avenue
The bar men used to call her „Little Lisa, Loney Tunes“
She went down on almost anyone

From the hard time living ‚til the Chelsea days
From when her hair was sweet blonde ‚til the day it turned gray
She said:

[Chorus]
L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.
You’ve got more than money and sense, my friend
You’ve got heart and you go in your own way
L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.
What you don’t have now will come back again
You’ve got heart and you go in your own way

Some people wear their history like a map on their face
And Joey was an artist just living out of case
But his best word was his letters home

His standard works of fiction about imaginary success
The chorus girls in neon were his closest things to friends
But to a writer, the truth is no big deal

From the hard time living to the sleepless nights
And the black and blue body from the weekend fights
He’d say:

[Chorus]
L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.
You’ve got more than money and sense, my friend
You’ve got heart and you go in your own way
L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.
What you don’t have now will come back again
You’ve got heart and you go in your own way

On my last night on earth, I won’t look to the sky
Just breathe in the air and blink in the light
On my last night on earth, I’ll pay a high price
To have no regrets and be done with my life

[Chorus]
L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.
You’ve got more than money and sense, my friend
You’ve got heart and you go in your own way
L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.
What you don’t have now will come back again
You’ve got heart and you go in your own way

Einen richtigen Ohrwurm hat mir die Band aber schon vor längerer Zeit mit ihrem Song „5 Years Time“ verpasst.

„5 Years Time“

Oh well in five years time we could be walking round a zoo
With the sun shining down over me and you
And there’ll be love in the bodies of the elephants too
And I’ll put my hands over your eyes, but you’ll peep through

And there’ll be sun sun sun all over our bodies
And sun sun sun all down our necks
And sun sun sun all over our faces
And sun sun sun -so what the heck!

Cos I’ll be laughing at all your silly little jokes
And we’ll be laughing about how we used to smoke
All those stupid little cigarettes and drink stupid wine
Cos it’s what we needed to have a good time

And it was fun fun fun when we were drinking
It was fun fun fun when we were drunk
And it was fun fun fun when we were laughing
It was fun fun fun, oh it was fun

Oh well I look at you and say
It’s the happiest that I’ve ever been
And I’ll say I no longer feel I have to be James Dean
And she’ll say
„Yah well I feel all pretty happy too“
And I’m always pretty happy when I’m just kicking back with you

And it’ll be love love love all through our bodies
And love love love all through our minds
And it be Love love love all over her face
And Love love love all over mine

Although maybe all these moments are just in my head
I’ll be thinking ‘bout them as I’m lying in bed
And all that I believe, it might not even come true
But in my mind I’m havin‘ a pretty good time with you

In five years time I might not know you
In five years time we might not speak
In five years time we might not get along
In five years time you might just prove me wrong

Oh there’ll be love love love
Wherever you go
There’ll be love

Arcade Fire – Modern Man

Arcade Fire – Modern Man

So I wait my turn, I’m a modern man
And the people behind me, they can’t understand
Makes me feel like
Makes me feel like

So I wait in line, I’m a modern man
And the people behind me, they can’t understand
Makes me feel like
Something don’t feel right

Like a record that’s skipping
I’m a modern man
And the clock keeps ticking
I’m a modern man
Makes me feel like
Makes me feel like

In my dream I was almost there
Then you pulled me aside and said you’re going nowhere
They say we are the chosen few
But we’re wasted
And that’s why we’re still waiting
On a number from the modern man
Maybe when you’re older you will understand
Why you don’t feel right
Why you can’t sleep at night now

In line for a number but you don’t understand
Like a modern man
In line for a number but you don’t understand
Like a modern man

Oh I had a dream I was dreaming
And I feel I’m losing the feeling
Makes me feel like
Like something don’t feel right
I erase the number of the modern man
Want to break the mirror of the modern man
Makes me feel like
Makes me feel like

In my dream I was almost there
Then you pulled me aside and said you’re going nowhere
I know we are the chosen few
But we’re wasted
And that’s why we’re still waiting
In line for a number but you don’t understand
Like a modern man
In like for a number but you don’t understand
Like a modern man

And you feel so right
But how come you can’t sleep at night?
In line for a number but you don’t understand
Like a modern man

I’m a modern man
I’m a modern man
I’m a modern man
I’m a modern man

Have you seen my sister Evelyn?
Dang sheÂ’s gone and wandered off again.
IÂ’ve been looking high and low,
Where oh whereÂ’d my sister go?
SheÂ’s been known to spend some time,
With a sailor friend of mine.
I called him up and whatÂ’d he say?
“I ain’t seen that girl today.”

So if you see my sister Evelyn,
Tell that girl to hurry home again.
Where oh whereÂ’d my sister Evelyn go?
Is she with the doctor or the plumber,
Or the dentist or the handyman?
Did she go to India or Africa,
Or Wichita or Pakistan?
Did she go join the Navy, or go completely crazy,
Or is she playing a trick on me?
Did she run off with the barber, the professor,
Or the banker, or the clergyman?
Is it possible that she could be in Timbuktu,
Or Katmandu or Vegas or Uzbekistan?
She learning how to do-do,
The Chattanooga Choo Choo?
Oh golly where could that girl be?

SheÂ’s been known to jump a train,
With a gal we know from down the lane.
I looked her up and whaÂ’d she say?
“I ain’t seen that girl in days.”

Is my floozy sister with the doctor,
Or the drummer,
Or the dentist or the handyman?
Did that ho-bag quit her job and run off
with that dick-head Mike,
To Indio, Guantanamo,
Or Panama or Disneyland?
Is she studying Kabbalah?
Did she win a million dollars?
Or is she dead in a ditch somewhere?

In This Light And On This Evening“

Editors – In this light and on this evening
I swear to god
I heard the earth inhale moments before it spat its rain on me
I swear to god
in this light and on this evening London’s become the most beautiful things I’ve seen

Editors – Papillon
Make our escape, you’re my own papillon.
Will turns too fast, feel love before it’s gone.
It kicks like a sleep twitch!
My papillon, feel love when it’s shone.
It kicks like a sleep twitch!

Darling, just don’t put down your guns yet,
if there really was a God here,
he’d have raised a hand by now.
Darling, you were born but you will die here,
that’s quite enough for me too,
we’ll find our own way home somehow.

No sense of doubt, for what you can achieve,
I’d help you out, I’ve seen the life you wish to lead.
Well it kicks like a sleep twitch!
You will choke, choke on the air you try to breathe.
It kicks like a sleep twitch!

Darling, just don’t put down your guns yet,
if there really was a God here,
he’d have raised a hand by now.
Darling, you were born but I’m gonna die here,
well that’s quite enough for me too,
we’ll find our own home somehow, Papillon!

It kicks like a sleep twitch!
It kicks like a sleep twitch!

Darling, now just don’t put down your guns yet,
if there really was a God here,
he’d have raised a hand by now!
Darling, you were born but I’m gonna die here,
well that’s quite enough for me,
we’ll find our own way out somehow.
It kicks like a sleep twitch!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah (x4)
It kicks like a sleep twitch

„If I Had A Heart“ leider ohne offiziellem Video.

Fever Ray – If i Had A Heart
This will never end, ‚cause I want more
More, give me more, give me more

If I had a heart, I could love you
If I had a voice, I would sing
After the night, when I wake up
I’ll see what tomorrow brings

Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah
If I had a voice, I would sing

Dangling feet from window frame
Will they ever, ever reach the floor
More, give me more, give me more

Cushion filled with all I found
Underneath and inside just to come around
More, give me more, give me more

Und dann noch der Song „When I Grow Up“

Fever Ray – When I Grow Up
When I grow up
I want to be a forester
Run through the moss on high heels
That’s what I’ll do
Throwing out a boomerang
Waiting for it to come back to me

When I grow up
I want to live near the sea
Crab claws and bottles of rum
That’s what I’ll have
Staring at a seashell
Waiting for it to embrace me

I put my soul into what I do
Last night I drew a funny man
With dog eyes and a hanging tongue
It goes way back
I’ve never liked that sad look
From someone who wants to be loved by you

I’m very good with plants
When my friends are away
They let me keep the soil moist
On the seventh day I rest
For a minute or two
Then back on my feet to call for you

You’ve got cucumbers on your eyes
Too much time spent on nothing
Waiting for a moment to arise
The face in the ceiling
And arms too long
I’m waiting for him to catch me
